I am writing from a suite overlooking Oakland Bay while on my first real business trip. It's strange because I have traveled a fair amount, but always as a student with a group or as a tourist with no real purpose and very limited money.
On this trip I have a distinct goal in mind and someone else is paying. I have never been in that situation before! While I don't expect the trip to be very eventful, It is an interesting experience. This should be interesting not just for me but also for Melissa who gets to stay home with Isaiah. She has to deal with all the stresses of daily life herself including walking the dog and changing every messy diaper of the day. I sense that just the thought of this is stressful for her. I also sense that she is a bit jealous that I am getting to travel and have an adventure and she has to live life as usual. It think I would be too. I imagine the table will turn more than once in this lifetime.
Here's to a great trip and a peaceful week at home!
For the record, I am staying at the Executive Inn and Suites in Oakland, CA and working with Informed Descisions makers of CASHNet.
