Family Time

The last couple of days have been family time. I am off of work, and we have very few committments. Betty is here helping with the details of everyday life, which means I get to take it easy and spend time with the kids.

Isaiah and I have taken a couple of long walks outside, and both times he threw a fit when I decided it was time to go in. He just wanted to stay outside and play in the dirt for as long as possible. Inside, he is having a blast playing with his Nana, throwing stuffed animals on his top bunk and building with blocks. He loves to point out that there is a baby in the house, and wants to help with her, but for the most part we are scared to let him get too close! Not surprisingly, he gets very uptight when he realizes that JoyAnne is nursing and that Mommy is paying attention to her. However, for the most part he is too busy to really care.

On the other hand, Caring for JoyAnne is amazingly simple. She is quiet and fairly calm. She is a beautiful baby, and so far has been very peaceful. Melissa might have a slightly different opinion as she is the one spending much of her time nursing or trying to nurse Annie.

Over all, this has been an enjoyable week. We have a busy day and weekend ahead, then life will begin to return to normal, but for now I am cherishing every minute I can!
